"This book examines the intersection of state policy, cultural development, and commemoration during Canada's 1967 centennial celebrations. It explores four initiatives that were undertaken in Nova Scotia to mark this anniversary, and demonstrates one province's response to Lamontagne's appeal to stem Canada's cultural poverty.
